Longhorn volleyball is on the path to sub-districts scheduled for Monday, Oct. 23, but a couple of more matches will be up for grabs before district play.
The last home game for the five seniors was Tuesday against Perkins County and Thursday they will play a triangular at Minatare, along with Hemingford.
Seniors include Julia Winstrom, Grace Anderson, Aspyn Kiefer, Jasmine Gawith and Katie Kilgore.
In district play, the Longhorns are 0-1 and overall they have racked up 3 wins and 22 losses. They are hoping to add some more to the win column before districts.
On the bright side for the future of Longhorn volleyball, Hannah Kilgore and Addy Olson have received an invitation to play summer volleyball in Hawaii.
Both Kilgore and Olson are ranked in D1 play, Kilgore in digs and Olson in kills. Both Kilgore and Olson are sophomores.
