Another Great Day Of Celebration In Bushnell

King and queen of Bushnell Day were Lewis and Jeanne Laboray. They are active in the Bushnell church and have always welcomed new individuals to the community. Long-time Bushnell resident Roberta Marshall, rides in a vintage pickup as grand marshal of the Bushnell Day parade. She and her husband first resided in Bushnell in the early '90s. She belonged to the Red Hatters and a sewing club, and was a village board member.
What an incredible day we had on Bushnell Day! Even though the temperature was higher than I would have liked, it was a great day. We had a wonderful turnout and it seemed that everyone enjoyed the day!
The first annual cow tongue football was a success thanks to all the people willing to participate, Jovan Mays for stepping in to officiate and to Twin City Packing out of Gering for the donation of the cow tongues. Thank you also to Gene Russum for the new event idea! It was quite entertaining to watch and looked like the participants had fun playing!
