Red and White Classic Goes Over Big

31 Golf Teams Compete; 130 Attend Banquet To Support Kimball Sports

With his eye on the golf ball, Henry Heeg tees off Saturday at hole No. 1 in the 1st annual Red and White Classic to benefit Kimball Public Schools athletics. The 1st annual Red and White Classic Golf Tournament at the Four Winds Golf Course was a success, according to Kimball Jr/Sr High Activities Director Darrell Howitt.

With 31 teams playing on Saturday and 130 tickets sold to the banquet on Saturday evening, they are still tallying up the finances, but Howitt believes that they made about $40,000.

Howitt said he is "thankful for the supportive community that rallies behind the kids and the school."

The winning golf team shot a 53 and was comprised of Henry Heeg, Henry Heeg Jr., Kenny Greenwood and Chuck Christiansen.
