Kimball Junior High had a great track season with about 60 kids out for the season. On Saturday, the season ended with the Nebraska Championship Meet in Gothenburg.

Qualifying for the meet were eighth graders Derek Russell in discus and Trey Cook, Clarika Hottell, and Carly Norberg in pole vault.

Seventh grader JaLeigh Bohac qualified for the meet in the discus.

All the qualifiers recorded their personal bests at the state meet.

In the all class meet, Derek Russel threw for 147-11 and placed fourth. Placing ninth in the pole vault, Trey Cook vaulted 10-2.

Jaleigh Bohac threw the discus 92 feet, which tied the seventh grade record and earned her tenth place. Clarika Hottell tied the eighth grade record and vaulted 7-2 for 22nd place.

Unfortunately, Carly Norberg was out sick. Clarika and Carly share the eighth grade record.
