Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
Summer is just right around the corner, but first, there must be graduation.
This year's Banner County School commencement ceremony was held on May 13. The graduating class was composed of seven seniors: Ariel Acosta, Madison Nowlin-Lee, Travis Onstott, Wyatt Onstott, Jozlynn Randall, Makayla Woolington, and Noah Yetter.
The ceremony began with a slideshow that was a testament to how much these students have grown. As the band started to play "Pomp and Circumstance," the graduates took the stage.
The class salutatorian, Wyatt Onstott, shared fond memories about his peers and his hopes for their success during his speech, when he said, "I have so many hopes for my classmates. I hope you all find success, peace, and prosperity in whatever you do in the future."
Following Wyatt's speech, Jozlynn Randall, the class valedictorian, followed suit with her speech about how grateful she was to all who helped her along the way. She stated, "Without the help from many of you, we wouldn't be standing here today, so thank you for your love and support throughout our journey."
Once the diplomas had been handed out and the tassels moved across, it was time for the ceremony to end.
This year's graduation was a big success. There were laughs, tears and smiles across the room for all who attended. Though these graduates will be missed at school, they are off to bigger and better things. They have pushed through 13 years of schooling and are finally entering a new phase of their lives.
Banner County has high hopes for their futures. Congratulations and good luck as you begin your journey!
