Coyote Boys & Girls Both 7th At Kendra Roeder Invite

Potter-Dix's Coyote Track and Field teams traveled across the border into Wyoming to compete at the Kendra Roeder Invitational at Pine Bluffs High School.

Both teams finished seventh in fields of 11 teams, and held their own against some of the toughest competition in the Panhandle and eastern Wyoming area.

The Southeast team took top honors for the boys, followed by Pine Bluffs and Niobrara County. For the girls, Burns came out on top, followed by Sidney and Pine Bluffs.

For the Coyote boys team, senior Luke Kasten had a strong day, finishing second in the 100 Meters and 200 meters. He was also part of the second-place 1600 Meter Sprint Medley Relay team.

The boys 4X100 Meter Relay team of Dylan Tabor, Brayden Kasten, Jaxen Buettenbeck and Luke Kasten placed second, and sophomore Dawson Monheiser placed fifth in Shot Put and junior Jaxen Buettenback placed eighth. Freshman Dylan Tabor had a sixth place showing in the Triple Jump.

For the girls, the 1600 Meter Sprint Medley Relay team had the highest finish at second place. The team consisted of Kallie Crossman, Taylah Wilson, Makenah Walker and Crystal Dhooge. Sophomore Dhooge also placed third in the 200 Meters. Senior Lily Tabor placed third in Shot Put and sixth in Pole Vault, and senior Jayden Shoemaker and Dhooge placed fifth and sixth in High Jump. Junior Jacina Wilbur placed eighth in Triple Jump.

The Coyote Track and Field teams are next scheduled to compete on Saturday at the MAC High School Meet in Dalton at Leyton High School.
