Individuals, Teams Measure The Success Of Kimball FFA

On March 4 at 5 p.m., the Kimball FFA and supporters will have their annual Labor Auction, Rocky Mountain Oyster Feed, or chicken strip dinner.

Other FFA dates to remember are the FFA Convention on March 28-31 in Lincoln and the Chapter Banquet on April 21.

Various state-qualifying individuals and teams measure the success of the FFA in Kimball.

Mallory Hottell placed 1st in the District 12 Creed Speaking contest and qualified for state, Grace Anderson took honors in TIG Welding, and her first-place finish has qualified for her state.

Kimball’s District Food Team placed first and will travel to state to compete. The team is composed of Grace Anderson (1st place individual), Julia Winstrom (2nd place individual), Carlee Murdoch (3rd place individual), and Hayden Sours (5th place individual).

Landon Norberg placed first individually in Equipment, and the Ag Mechanics team of Justin Klosserman, Landon Norberg, Cody Brinkman, and Nolan Cook qualified for state with a 5th place finish.

Carlee Murdoch will represent Kimball in the Nebraska State FFA Choir.

Other award winners include state qualifier Dakota Vrbas as a District Gold Proficiency winner.

The American Degree will be awarded to KHS graduates Jared Barnes and Lane Wasielewski. Justin Kosterman will receive the Nebraska State FFA Degree.

Three individuals will be awarded the Chapter Degree including Cody Brinkman, Carlee Murdock and Hayden Sours.

Six Kimball Greenhand Degrees will go to Nolan Cook, Aubrey Culek, Kambree Hottell, Mallory Hottell, Jade O’Rourke and Dakota Vrbas.

And finally, 10 Discovery Degrees will be awarded to Ainsley Hottel, Trey Cook, Wyatt Cook, Kip Gillming, Clarika Hottell, Tradin Hottell, Hunter Lonsdale, Cameron McGinnis, Tyler McManigal and Carlee Norberg.
