Mariann B. Kleinholz

Mariann B. Kleinholz, 90, of Carpenter, died at Cheyenne Medical Center on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. Cremation has been held and graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 3, 2023 at the Kimball Cemetery.

Friends may visit http://www.cantrallfh.com to leave condolences and stories for the family. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Panhandle Humane Society.

The services for Mariann have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.

Mariann Bohac Kleinholz was born in Schuyler, Nebraska. on January 5, 1933, the daughter of James and Mary Dohse Bohac. She moved to Kimball with her family at an early age and graduated from the Kimball County High School in 1951.

Following graduation she moved to Denver and worked as a telephone operator. She moved back to Kimball in 1953 and was married to Leroy Kleinholz. They farmed before moving to Gunnison, Colorado, where she owned and operated an A&W restaurant. She sold the restaurant and went to work for City Market as a cashier. She retired at 60 and moved to Carpenter, Wyoming, where she was living at the time of her death.

She was a cat and bird lover and always took care of stray cats in the neighborhood. She loved collecting and fixing antiques. She enjoyed traveling and enjoyed trips to Spain, New York City, Hawaii and the Czech Republic. Her hobbies included reading, baking family traditions of Kolaches and Goose for holidays. She also was an arborist and planted many trees. Mariann enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her companion Ed Irsik of Carpenter, WY; son Mike (Kimberly) Kleinholz of Queen Creek, AZ; daughter Lori Aichele of Denver, CO; brother Edward (Nancy) Bohac of Sterling, CO; grandchildren Matthew, Joshua, Dustin and Kierstan Kleinholz and Cal and Amanda Dobie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son James Kleinholz; brothers Charles, James, John, and Ernie Bohac.
