2 Firsts, 1 Second For Wrestlers At Garden County Invite

The Kimball Longhorn wrestling team heads to Chase County this Friday and Saturday after a trip to Garden County on Saturday, Jan. 7, for an invitational tournament where they showed well as a team and in individual competition.

At the end of the day, the Longhorns finished in fourth place out of 22 schools, scoring 79 team points. The tournament was won by the defending class D state champions from Sutherland High School.

The Longhorns were led by seniors James McGinnis at 132 and Trey Schindler at 152. Both seniors won championships.
