Longhorns Give Hall Of Fame Effort

The Kimball boys basketball season is off to a great start with a win over Alliance, 56-48, in the Hall of Fame Jamboree on Monday evening.

The second and third quarters helped to propel the Longhorns to their victory.

Alliance scored 14 in the first quarter, while Kimball tallied 11. But in the second quarter, Kimball scored 13 and held the Bulldogs to 6.

The third quarter Kimball with 14 and Alliance with 10. Both teams score 18 in the final quarter.

Four Longhorns players scored all the points. Kyler Lusche had 24, Brandon Paxton 20, Wyatt Cords 10 and Braxton Miller 2.

"So very happy for the boys and our fans last night," Kimball Coach Chad Miller said. "The team battled hard all night and it was a joy to get a win in our first Hall of Fame Jamboree game vs. Alliance, 56-48."

The Kimball Longhorns, both boys and girls, will face off against Bayard on Dec. 1 at 4 p.m. at home.

This will include the JV and the varsity.

On Friday Dec. 2, the Horns will face off against the Leyton Warriors at 4 p.m.
