Kimball Volleyball Nears End Of Season

Homecoming Week for the Longhorns began with volleyball at Haxtun on Tuesday, followed by District cross country at Bridgeport on Thursday and football on Friday at home against Bayard at 6 p.m. On Saturday is the SPVA volleyball tournament in Grant.

The volleyball games continue into next week beginning on Tuesday, and the team travels to Perkins County and Minatare/Hemingford on Thursday. and District volleyball is scheduled for the last week in October.

Kimball hosted a triangular on Oct. 4 with Bayard and Potter-Dix. The Lady Horns lost to Bayard 2-0 and Potter-Dix 2-1.

Last Thursday, Oct. 6, the Lady Horns played Morrill in a non-conference match. Kimball came up short against the Lions, 15-25, 22-25, 32-34.

Jayden Paxton leads the team with 109 kills and 28 ace serves, Charlotte Hargreaves leads the team with 14 total blocks, Aspyn Kiefer has racked up 205 assists and Hannah Kilgore has 162 digs.

In C2 District 11 play Kimball is 0-2 and has a record of 3-16 for the 2022 season with games yet to be played.
