Potter-Dix’s Lady Coyote volleyball team continued its torrid start to the season over the last week, notching five more match wins while suffering their first loss of the season.
The week moves Potter-Dix to 16-1 on the season.
The week’s action started on Monday with a triangular with Paxton and Wallace, and after putting away Paxton in straight sets, 25-20 and 25-17, the Lady Coyotes ran into a strong Wallace team that handed them their first loss of the season in straight sets, 25-22 and 25-15.
Potter-Dix regrouped from the loss, with a three set trouncing of Banner County 25-7, 25-11 and 25-9 on Friday, and then followed that up with three more victories in round-robin tournament action on Saturday in Potter. They put away Crawford in straight sets 25-19, 25-19 and then followed up with a 2-1 match victory against Morrill 25-16, 25-28 and 25-16. That was followed by another 2-1 victory over Perkins County 25-15, 22-25 and 25-18.
Potter-Dix was scheduled to host a triangular on Tuesday with South Platte and Bayard.
