Heeg Leads Longhorns Track At Morrill

The Kimball boys and girls track teams have a meet under their belts. The Longhorns head into this Saturday’s meet at Bayard following an outing at the Morrill Early Bird 22 meet in which senior Katie Heeg carried on her fine form from last year.

The multi-sport athlete placed second in the triple jump finals (30 feet, 2.75 inches), third in the 100-meter hurdles finals (18.08 seconds) and second in the 100-meter hurdles prelims (18.31).

The Kimball girls finished 11th in the 13-team field with 15 points, while Crawford was first with 84 points.

The Kimball boys finished 13th with 2 points, while Mitchell was first with 95.
