SPVA Awaits Boys Hoops

The Kimball Longhorns boys basketball team’s record went to 0-11 after outings this past week against Potter-Dix, Bridgeport and Gordon-Rushville.

On Jan. 15 the young squad lost a home non-conference game against Gordon-Rushville by a score of 64-21.

Leading Kimball was Kyler Lusche, who went 6 for 12 in two-point field goal range and ended up with 13 points. Wyatt Cords contributed 6 points and Connor Deboodt 2.

The day before, Kimball lost a home non-conference game to Bridgeport, 67-16. Kimball scorers were Lusche with 7 points, Anthony Tovar with 5, and Cords and Kyle Fraser with 2 apiece.

The Longhorns opened the week Jan. 11 with a 66-11 lost at Potter-Dix. Statistics were not immediately available. Kimball’s scorers were Lusche with 7 points, Tovar with 3 and Fraser with 1.

Next up this week for Kimball was the SPVA Conference Tournament.

The team was scheduled to open 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, against the 7-6 Bridgeport Bulldogs and then meet the 0-10 Sutherland Sailors at 5 p.m. Friday.
