Sheriff's Office, Windmill Workers Team Up To Give Families Presents

Teaming up in an effort to provide presents to local families this holiday season were, from left, Deputy Cole Saunders, Nicole Saunders, Chief Deputy Sheriff Brandon Loy and Deputy D.J. DuVall, and DeeDee Guzman and Ann Wynne from RES.

Employees of RES, who work on Kimball area windmills, recently made donations to help buy Christmas presents for local families, and RES helped the cause by matching the funds.

When the Kimball County Sheriff's Office heard about what RES was doing, it sounded similar to what they were doing.

The sheriff's office and RES soon partnered up and combined everything they had done. More than $1,000 was raised all together.

DeeDee Guzman from RES went to Cheyenne to shop for the presents after being given the ages of the children from the sheriff's office.
