Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First

PLANTED IN 1949, BLOWN OVER IN 2021

The high winds last week not only created havoc for truckers on I-80 but also took down a landmark at the Ferguson place located 3½ miles west of Kimball. The 60-foot Spruce was planted in 1949 by Kerry Ferguson's grandfather, John H. Ferguson, shortly after he purchased the place. Kerry said they received some damage to the roof of their house, but "it could have been worse."
