These campsites were set up this past week at Oliver Reservoir, but change is coming. The South Platte Natural Resources District, with input from the Oliver Reservoir Advisory Committee, has chosen to close Oliver Reservoir Recreation Area to overnight camping Nov.  1 through March 1 for safety reasons. The SPNRD does not have the  manpower or equipment to handle heavy snow removal, and safety is an important component with recreation area management. Signs will be placed at Oliver in the next few weeks to notify the public of this change.  Day use is still permitted. For updates and information about Oliver  Reservoir, visit www.spnrd.org/oliverreservoir.
