Disrupted Power Expected Tuesday

Kimball Power Plant Plugging Back In For A Day

The city of Kimball has been advised by its power supplier, Western Area Power Administration, that it will be shutting down electricity to the city for one day in September while making substation upgrades. The planned date is Tuesday, Sept. 28, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The city is asking all businesses and residents to prepare in advance for electric disruptions.

Kimball will be generating power during this day with the City Power Plant, but it cannot guarantee there will always be power to all areas and advised people “to expect that there will be likely disruptions throughout the day....
