Seems Like School Is Just Around the Corner

Good morning and nice to see that some wheat harvesting has gotten under way.

I feel deeply sorry for the folks who were affected up by Alliance this past week by the the huge hail. Corn fields looked like someone had gone through them with a gigantic hacksaw.

Up toward Bayard, the Chimney Rock Museum is now completely reopened. They began renovations in 2119 and had partially re-opened but the renovations are now complete!

Currently at the Western Nebraska Arts Center in the Main Gallery is the 2021 Presidents Show and in the Bronson Gallery is Velo-Sophy. These next two seem way too early. However, on the 19th, Monday new student registration will begin at EWC and Saturday July 17-24 is the Morrill County Fair. Man, makes it seem like school is just around the corner. Think maybe it is.

Here is a heads-up. The Harrisburg Community Church will host VBS July 19-23 from 9 a.m. to noon. “Rocky Railway” (Jesus’ Power Pulls Us Through!) will be the theme. Let me just say that there is a train ... a big train in the church and lots of camping equipment!
