A celebration of Tom Southard's life is scheduled for 11 a.m. this Friday, June 18, at the Kimball High School gymnasium, where the Observer sportswriter devotedly covered so many student-athletes during his 50-plus years on the local sports beat. His memorial service notice is on Page A6.
