Ethan Ratzlaff and the Longhorns lost to Bridgeport in Sub District play, ending their season.
Kimball's season came to an end in the first round of the C2-12 Sub District Tournament, as they matched up against number one seed Bridgeport and were overmatched.
Kimball ends its season 0-16 but had the opportunity to get younger players playing time that should translate into wins in coming seasons.
Freshman Wyatt Cords led Longhorn scoring with eight points. For the season, senior Cole Henton led with 115 points, 15 successful three point attempts and seven blocked shots, junior Roy Tarango led with 21 assists, and senior Christian Allen Van Pelt had 74 total rebounds and seven blocked shots.
The 23-2 Bulldogs came out fast and played tough defense. They opened a 26-9 lead after a quarter and put up another 22 in the second period to build a 48-17 lead at halftime.
Another 25 Bridgeport points in the third quarter initiated the running clock, and the fourth quarter went quickly. The final score was 86-27.
Rafi Cantu led the winners with 19 points. In the championship game, Bridgeport took down Bayard, 77-48.
