Ice And Snow Greet The Lamb Of March

Good morning Banner County, friends near and far. I hope you are enjoying some of this warmer weather, and holding the fort down against this wind! March sure has came in like a lamb although I still have snow in my yard, and ice.

We here in Banner County are sorry for the loss of long-time resident John Gifford, who recently passed away. Our sympathy goes out to Sherry and the family.

Here at school we have parent-teacher conferences set for Thursday, March 4th, with student dismissal at 1 p.m. Conferences will begin at 2 p.m. and there will be no school on Friday.

On Monday, March 8th the school board will meet at 7 p.m. and there will be district speech at Crawford on Tuesday, March 9th. Good luck and safe travel.

Anniversary congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Gary Talkington and Dwayne Muhr. The Alliance Public Library is happy to announce that they are resuming story time on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1 p.m. for children ages 1-6 years of age beginning on the 4th of March.

The Zion Evangelical Church in Scottsbluff located at 3617 5th. Avenue will have their Coffee & Grebel Event on Saturday, March 6th. from 7-9 a.m. You may also call in pre-orders at 632-8125 by Friday, March 5th.

The Scottsbluff winter marker is at the Monument Mall this Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. On Sunday, March 7th . the Knights of Columbus will host a breakfast buffet at their location 1719 1st Avenue in Scottsbluff from 8 a.m. to noon and everyone is invited to attend.

On Wednesday, March 10th. Gering softball registration will open for ages 5-18 by going to htt://goteamsap.com/form/256770.

The Skyview Drive-In will show the movie “Raya and The Last Dragon” on Friday & Saturday, March 5th & 6th beginning at 7 p.m. and on that Sunday at 6:30 p.m. The gates open at 5:30 p.m. and concessions are available. The movie is rated PG.
