Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
Kimball's main intersection at 3rd and Chestnut streets is temporarily closed in the name of progress.
The City of Kimball issued a statement Monday for its street department to inform citizens of Kimball and surrounding areas that there will be a complete closure at the intersection of 3rd Street and Chestnut Street, effective right now, to allow for waterline work for the new Kimball County Transit Service building at the corner.
This will require Chestnut Street to be closed from 1st Street and 3rd Street.
The City will detour northbound traffic to Oak Street and southbound traffic to Howard Street.
The work was expected to take approximately 10 to 14 days.
