Event Raises About $8,000 After Expenses

The Kimball Hospital Foundation’s second annual Casino Night at the Kimball Event Center drew about 180 people to support the foundation’s fundraising efforts to purchase a new heart defibrillator/monitor for use in the hospital emergency room.

The event raised about $8,000 after expenses.

Games offered by 16 total casino staff included blackjack roulette, craps and poker.  After three hours of gambling, participants traded in their chips for drawing tickets for $2,000 in cash prizes. 

Among the live auction prizes, Doug Gunderson was high bidder for an AutoLok Industries AL-15 “Nebraska Huskers Special Edition” rifle and scope donated by Jim Cederburg; Tiffani Anderson won a two-night stay at the Grand Z Casino Hotel with spending cash donated by Gene and Shortie Kiefer; Dave and Trish Lukassen won a Vince’s Corner gift basket including 18 holes of golf for four at Four Winds Golf Course; Stephanie Risk-McElroy won a 55-inch smart TV donated by Ken and Cynthia Hunter; Jay Fennell won a 2020 membership to Four Winds Golf Course donated by Vince’s Corner; Jordan Liley won a spa treatment package donated by Anu Therapeutic Spa and Salon and Joe Fennell won a two-person guided waterfowl hunting trip donated by Dallan Juelfs and Banner Capital Bank.
