3-Point Shooters Let 'Er Rip

I, along with all of the fans who took in the SPVA Conference basketball game between the Kimball and Hershey girls teams at the Kimball High Gymnasium this past Monday, were entertained with a demonstration of long range shooting as the two teams tied a Nebraska Girls State record for most 3 point field goals in a game total with 23.

Kimball had 12 and Hershey 11.

Shayda Vaughn, a 5’10” sophomore for Hershey, set a school record with her 9 treys. Kimball junior Sydney Biesecker tied for 3rd best on the Kimball High school records with 6. It was fun for certain, but sorry to report that Hershey won 64-55. Like usual, they had a height advantage.

Breckyn Kiefer

Breckyn Kiefer is back in the spotlight again as the awesome young gymnast from Kimball fared quite well in a large gymnastic event out in Las Vegas this past week. Against all of that national competition she finished 4th in the Double Mini competition, 3rd in Floor event, and FIRST in the trampoline competition for the gold medal. Congrats Breckyn and keep up the good work!
