Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First

Hoping Everyone Enjoys The Christmas Break

The High School sports action comes to a halt for a short time as the NSAA puts a moratorium on the games and practice until Dec. 27.

Kimball competition begins again on Jan. 7, when the basketball teams play at South Platte and the wrestlers are back on the mats Jan. 11 at Garden County.

We still have wrestling results to bring your way from this past Saturday’s Bridgeport/Sidney Tournament, but I can tell you that Stephen Bateman finished third at the 285 pound weight class, and Connor Cluff was sixth at 132.

Due to early holiday deadlines we were unable to get all the results this week, but we will try to get those for you readers next week.

Hoping everyone enjoys the Christmas break – and especially you hard working athletes and coaches.

You fans can also get a break from traveling and get all ready for the New Year.

Get up to Scottsbluff and watch the Cougars, and catch the sports action on the tube while you are waiting for high school sports to to return.
