Karl Dean Szobody of Bushnell, Nebraska, formerly of Elkhart, Indiana, died at his home on October 25, 2019. He was born February 19, 1942, to the late Henry and Mary (Compton) Szobody.

Karl was preceded in death by his daughter ,Jodi Ann. Survivors include his brother Johan and sister Diane, his wife Norma, sons Dean and Briant, daughter Michelle, and eight grandchildren.

Karl retired from Jefferson County in Colorado after 25 years of service. He was a firefighter in many small communities in the states of Indiana and Colorado. Recently he was voted to be the Chairman of the Bushnell Vi...
