Kimball Public Library director Jan Sears reports in her column this week that the Friends of the Kimball Library book sale on Farmer's Day weekend "was very popular." Grocery bags filled with books, puzzles, DVDs and more were selling for $10 -- just about the best bargain you'll find.
The Friends of the Kimball Library Book Sale was very popular this year and many, many books and puzzles went out the door. Thank you all who came and purchased books. Book sales are appreciated by the public and also help the library by clearing out books and making money for the Friends to fund the library for extra programing and supplies and the annual swimming pool party.
The Teen Library Advisory Board held a bake sale and the baked items flew out the door. They planned to have the sale outside on the lawn, but obviously the weather wasn't cooperative.
