Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First

KIMBALL GOod TO GO FOR 4th

It is that time of year again. The smell of the barbecue. The cool nights. Red, white and blue patterned across the community and on our friends' outfits.

And all of the enjoyable events that come with the Fourth of July holiday.

On the schedule for Kimball this summer include many familiar activities.

"Fun on the Fourth at Gotte Park," 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. will include balloon animals, bucket truck rides, fire truck rides, outdoor games, a hot dog lunch, patriotic kids crafts, a watermelon feed and more.

The fun continues with "Pool Games" from 12 to 2p.m., at the Kimball Swimming Pool with fun games and prizes.

An open swim is also scheduled for 2 to 4 p.m. at the pool, with free admission.

Last but not least is everyone's favorite part of the Fourth ... the fireworks show. The display will begin at dusk at the Kimball High School football field.
