Potter-Dix School Board Hires New Principal

Potter-Dix School Board met in regular session on May 13. The school board unanimously agreed to approve the resignation of and settlement agreement with Principal Jane Brown, they also approved the non-renewal of the employment of Jerry Brown due to a reduction of force, and they approved the non-renewal of the employment of Nancy Bunner.

The board then considered and approved the contract to hire Larry Baker as 7-12 Principal/Activities Director for the 2019-20 school year. Larry Baker will be a first year principal and he hails from Centura High School in Cario, Neb.

In addition, they hired Alyssa Lewark as an Agricultural Education Instructor and FFA sponsor for the new FFA program at Potter-Dix School. A third grade teacher, Rachel Lee was also hired for the 2019-2020 school year.

In other business, P.E. Instructor, Ryan Mumm resigned. Students of the Month for April were: Kindergarten-Michael Williams, First Grade-Sephelli Germachlich, Second Grade- Pamalah Williamson, Third Grade-Kayden Russell, Fourth Grade-Alec Loghry, Fifth Grade-Daniela Sharples, Sixth Grade- Denna Horst. These students were treated to a pizza party on May 9.
