Cheyenne Woman, 36, Dies; Passenger Injured; Child OK
A deadly passenger vehicle crash near Bushnell caused one fatality on Sunday, April 28, at approximately 3:15 p.m.
According to the Nebraska State Patrol, a passenger vehicle was traveling westbound on I-80 east of Kimball when the vehicle veered off the road and rolled multiple times.
The driver, identified as Alisha Pitford, 36, and passenger, Alexander Schanaman, 23, both of Cheyenne, were ejected from the vehicle with no use of seat belt restraints.
A child in the rear of the vehicle was safely bucked in a car seat and was uninjured.
Pitford did not survive the crash.
Schanamen was life-flighted to Regional West Medical Center for treatment. He is suffering from serious injuries, according to a family member.
