The Kimball Lions Club concluded its Annual Nine Pin No Tap Bowling Tournament recently, enjoying a great turnout of local and area bowlers.

Creg Barker was the Men's Singles winner with a high handicap series of 931, and Alexis Lulf was the Women's Singles winner with a 827 series.

Other division winners were Clay Keane and Sean Keane of Sidney in the Men's Doubles with a series total of 1,686, Monica Garcia and Angel Bering of Scottsbluff in the Women's Doubles with a series total of 1,535, and Kayla and Robbie McDonald in Mixed Doubles with a series total of 1,609.

The competition was close this year, with some places decided by only a few pins.

The Annual Grudge Match Challenge Trophy was taken home by Team Evertson Well Service with a total handicap series of 3,216, edging out three-time defending Champions Kim Bowl/Autolok Pin Shooters by a mere 36 pins.

Evertson team members included Lynn Anthony, Tanya Thacker, Chuck Frakes and Ramon Serrano. Nine Grudge Match teams competed for bragging rights and the Lions traveling trophy, which the winning team will keep and display until the next annual challenge.

Seventeen bowlers also shared in added $1,000 prize money by collecting a $50 bonus for being the high handicap series bowler in each session.

Corey Rehder of Alliance, Clay Keane of Sidney and Henry Barker, Kayla McDonald, Jenifer Gompert, Alexis Lulf and Kathy Porter of Kimball all collected bonuses in more than one session.

Bev Wilson graciously donated a handmade crocheted afghan that was raffled off and won by Donnell Chapman of Scottsbluff.

The tournament is an annual fundraising event for the Kimball Lions Club. All proceeds are used to fund community projects and assistance for the benefit of Kimball County residents.
