KWC Seventh, Grapplers 15th At Sidney

Wrestling this past weekend was just east down the road in Sidney, with the Tri-State Grapplers and Kimball Wrestling Club competing. KWC placed seventh out of 37 teams with 282 points. The Grapplers placed 15 with 170 points.

1st-2nd 53 division, Trajan Johnson placed fourth and scored 16 team points.

1st-2nd 53 division, Christian Soto-Young placed third and scored 20 team points.

1st-2nd 53 division, Britton Culek placed first and scored 40 team points.

1st-2nd 53 division, Kasyn Snyder placed second and scored 30 team points.

3rd-4th 50-55 division, Logan Paxton placed third and scored 30 team points.

5th-6th 70 division, Tanner Long placed third and scored 20 team points.

7th-8th 150 division, Adam Hill placed third and scored 20 team points.

Jax Thurin headed to Perkins County to wrestle in their youth meet last Saturday.

Jax placed first in the 1st-2nd 60 division, and scored 18 team points.

Round 1,Thurin wrestled Keegan Florom from Paxton and won (Dec 11-8). Round 2, Thurin won by fall over Barrett Devine of Ogallala Youth Wrestling. Round 3, he won by fall over Blake Stults of the Wray Eagles.

He also wrestled in the 1st-2nd 65 division and placed first earning another 20 team points. Round 1, won by fall over Ryder Jurgens of the Midwest Destroyers. Round 2, Thurin won by fall over Kolbe Foster of McCook Wrestling Club. Round 3, Thurin won by fall over Cameron Meisner of the Wray Eagles.
