Hand Grenade Found In Kimball Attic

A World War II vintage grenade, similar to this one, was found in Kimball and stirred things up.

When cleaning out your attic what do you expect to find?

Possibly some family history, some possessions from your childhood.

What about a real hand grenade from World War II?

It happened in Kimball.

According to Kimball Police Chief Andy Bremer, he received a call that was somewhat out of the ordinary Sunday, Jan. 20.

A Kimball resident, whose name was not released, was cleaning out the family home's attic on East Third Street near Gotte Park, when the WWII grenade was discovered.

A call was made immediately to Bremer to report the object and seek proper disposal.

A bomb disposal unit...
