The Potter-Dix Coyotes continue to struggle on offense, but Coach Ryan Mumm is starting to see some improvements as the season continues. Potter-Dix played the Leyton Warriors last Friday, Jan. 11, and came up short in the away game, 58-15.

After a tough loss the Coyotes returned home for Saturday’s match with the Hay Springs Hawks.

The Coyotes trailed the Hawks 38-26 at the half and continued to fall short in the second half of the game. The final score was 77-49.

“I was pleased with our balance offensively,” Mumm said. “The thing I was most pleased with was our effort throughout the game. The team kept competing and working until the final buzzer. We will have to use this game to build on in the coming weeks.”

Tavor again led the Coyotes with 15 points, followed by Mendoza with nine, Gray with eight, Hickman with seven, Corfield with six and Koon with four.

Gray led the team with nine total rebounds followed by Tavor with seven, Glanz with six, Koon with for, Corfield, Moench and Mendoza with three, and Hickman and Jaden Lee with one each.
