Louise Danielson, 83, of Kimball, died at the Kimball County Manor on Sunday, December 30, 2018. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at the Cantrell Funeral Home in Kimball with Pastor Hod Boltjes officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Friends may visit http://www.cantrellfh.com to view Louise’s Tribute Wall and leave messages of sympathy and stories for the family. Memorials may be given to St. Jude’s Children Hospital in memory of Louise. The services for Louise have been entrusted to Cantrell Funeral Home.
Louise Danielson was born in Protection, Kansas, on July 8, 1935, the daughter of Ralph and Gertrude Wertz. She moved with her family at an early age to Kersey, Colorado. She received her education in Kersey and graduated from the Kersey High School in 1953. Louise attended the LaSalle University and was working towards her degree in accounting. The university closed and Louise moved to Kimball and worked as a telephone operator.
She was married to Dale Danielson on September 3, 1955, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Dale preceded her in death on October 12, 2010. She then went to work for the Co-op Food Store. She had a knack for numbers and was promoted to bookkeeping and later to office manager. Later she went to work for the Kimball County Manor as their office manager, a job she had for 20 years.
She enjoyed sewing and was a fabulous cook, especially making fried chicken. She also liked to bowl, and was on several league teams and enjoyed several tournament trips to Las Vegas. She will be missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her son Gary Danielson of Ozark, Missouri; brother Ron Wertz of Greeley, Colorado; grandchildren Cale and Cade Danielson; cousin Minerva Fry and niece Christina Fernandez.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Roger Danielson and sister Gladys Hundley.
