Friends & Neighbors: Retiring Treasurer Diana Quicke

She has put in 40 years of work for Kimball County and is so close to retirement she can almost taste it. Dec. 31 will be Diana Quicke's official last day as Kimball County treasurer.

Beginning her county career in the Road Department, Diana drove a packer while she helped build roads. She surveyed as well as help with secretarial work until she was asked to join the treasurer's office.

Diana worked as a deputy under Arthur J. Johnson until she took his place as treasurer. This year makes 31 years in the treasurer position for her.
