James "Jim" Robert Reeves

James "Jim" Robert Reeves, 52, of Dix, Ne died Nov. 12, 2018 in Denver, Colo.

Jim was born on March 27, 1966 to Clark Leon Reeves and Rosetta "Paddy" Reeves in Gothenburg, where he grew up. Jim graduated from Gothenburg High School in 1984 where he was active in cross country and track. Jim went on to attend UN-Kearney, graduating with a teaching degree and masters degree in counseling.

Jim loved working with young children and all students. He also had a passion for coaching cross country and track and field. Jim worked for Loup City Public Schools, Nebraska Health and Human Services in Gering and most recently was elementary counselor at Mary Lynch Elementary in Kimball.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Clark and "Paddy" Pollock Reeves; and nephew Jake Reeves.

Jim is survived by his sister Lynn (Bruce) Weber of Lincoln; brothers Thomas (Dawn) Reeves of Lincoln and Steve (Georgia) Reeves of Gothenburg; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, the Dane Wurdeman family and numerous friends from Kimball and Loup City Public Schools.

Jim's wishes were cremation. Memorials are suggested to a Jim Reeves children's charity to be sent to 1410 Lake Ave., Gothenburg, NE. 69138.
