Kimball-Banner Counties 4-H recognizes member achievements

4-H'ers and their families celebrated their accomplishments of the past year during the annual Kimball-Banner Counties 4-H Achievement Celebration on Sunday, October 28, at KimBowl in Kimball. 4-H members and leaders were recognized for their achievements.

Outstanding 4-H'ers for 2018 recognized were Shelby Thurin, Kyle Thurin and Xavier Thomas-Lewis.

Sandy Lukassen was recognized as this year's Friend of 4-H for her many years of service to the county fair and the 4-H program. Her dedication to making this year's 100th anniversary county fair extra special was particularly appreciated.

Darrell Snyder was recognized as this year's Heart of 4-H award recipient. Darrell has served on the 4-H council, livestock committee and beef superintendent. He goes above and beyond what is asked of him.

4-H'ers recognized as completing their 4-H career portfolio in their respective project areas received certificates and project pins for their accomplishments. These 4-H'ers and their project areas are:

Youth members were Alycia Vrbas, Bailee Underhill, Nathaniel Mars, Kayla Thurin, and Kyle Thurin.

4-H Council members elected to serve for a two-year term are Danessa Terrill, Paula Johnson, Angie Haun, Darrell Snyder and Matt Thurin.
