Don't let scams ruin your holidays

Kimball Police Department along with banks in the community urge residents to beware of new and old multi-billion dollar scams as well as counterfeit bills that may have made their way back into town.

KPD Chief Andy Bremer urges residents to be cautious of emails, checks, phone calls, and text messages that may seem strange.

“There are so many scams right now it seems like this time of the year you see more of it,” said Bremer. “Some of these scams have been around forever, like the Mystery Shopper check scam, that are still being used.”
