Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First

Residents share a love of growing with entire facility

As the weather is turning cooler the folks at the Kimball County Manor might be soon missing the fresh juicy tomatoes Roger Erickson has produced all summer.

Erickson, a resident of the Kimball County Manor, along with fellow resident Don Stull, has impressed and inspired many other residents to keep up with their gardening and flower beds though-out the summer.

"I got to have something to do, I walk, and I take care of my plants," said Erickson.

Maybe the secret to growing those huge tomatoes is that Erickson catches the rain water and hydrates his healthy plants. Whatever the secret is, he truly knows how to keep those plants growing.

"I just gave about a dozen tomatoes to the manor the other day and I eat one every day," he said.
