We have had some good weather golf days, and we have had some bad weather golf days as of late. The Kimball Thursday night men’s league and Four Winds Men’s League had a combined year-end scramble this past Sunday and it was a bad weather day. Only the truly hearty participated.

The winning team was the team of Bob Kellner, Randy Bohac, Kevin Thomas with their round of 61. A score card playoff decided the 2nd and 3rd place teams as both shot 62. The team of Steve Pattison, Tom O’Brien, Barry Frederick got 2nd and the team of Pat O’Brien, Bill Hinton, Gary Haack were 3rd.

The same thing occurred for 4th and 5th place with both teams shooting 64. Mark Daum, Roger Wynne, and Andrew Brown got 4th, and the team of Steve Linn, Mike Coleman, Roger Dohse placed 5th. A salute and big thank you to all golfers who braved the weather conditions to play in the season ending scramble.

Congrats going out also to Sally Plover for being named Panhandle Senior Women’s Golfer of the Year. Sally earned the honor for her number of attendance at events plus the points she accumulated for her finishes at events. This young lady with a great personality has a passion for the game of golf and travels to Kimball from her home out by Carpenter, Wyoming almost daily.
