Lady Horns battle hard at home, but lose in four to Sutherland

Kimball Lady Horns lost a 3-1 battle with Sutherland last Thursday at home. Sutherland came out ready, winning the first set 25-13. Kimball fought back for the W in the second set holding on to a 24-26 win but lost the next two sets 25-17 each. Giving the Sailors the win.

Leading in the kills category for the Lady Horns was Jenna Greenwood with 25, Madison Wynne ended the game with three blocks, Kiersten Anderson had four served aces, Anderson also hit the floor in a good defensive effort with 22 digs, and Wynne finished the match with 29 assists.

Unofficial stats for the Lady Horns are, Wynne with three points, Greenwood had seven points, one ace serve, and two blocks. Kate Reader ended the match with three points, 11 kills, four digs and one block. Sydney Biesecker had three points with one kill, and 15 digs. Jaydin Paxton had 10 points four ace serves and one kill. Megan Spicer had seven points two ace serves and five digs.

Kimball faced off with Hershey on Tuesday, Sept. 18 and will play Gering and Sidney in a triangular tournament today, Thursday, Sept. 20.
