New downtown business, new look with local grant

A empty building on Second street has a new look and new opportunity at revitalization. Tom Hewitt of Redwing Trading, Custom Knives has taken one of the many grant opportunities from the City of Kimball.

His shop, located at 110 W. 2nd Street, is newly remodeled inside with multiple updates throughout and a new roof that Hewitt was granted through the City of Kimball's Business Facade Grant.

Hewitt said he wouldn't have been able take on this project without the help of longtime friend and contractor Tom Adalr and his wife, Karen.

"I think this will really help the community, its one new business in downtown Kimball," Hewitt said.

Will adding this new store front to the community, and a grant from the City of Kimball received and used, help community members who may be looking for a startup business or a new location?

Tom invites everyone to stop in, check out the remodel and see what handmade goodies, are in store at his one-of-a-kind business in the heart of downtown Kimball.
