Commissioners urge caution

Citizens are cautioned to be aware of heavy truck traffic as fall harvest moves into full swing.

Kimball County Commissioners discussed the concern with Dave Hottell, Kimball County Roads Superintendent at the recent commissioners meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 18.

Hottell noticed heavier than usual semi truck traffic on county roads as sugar beet harvest has begun.

That harvest began earlier than usual this year, additionally, corn harvest nears.

Making matters more difficult is the lack of moisture, leading to excessive dust as trucks travel along dirt roads throughout the county.
