D.C. Conference offers local students bigger dreams

Washington D.C.’s junior leadership conference catches the eye of the Kimball’s Joseph Bremer, a sixth grade student at Mary Lynch Elementary.

This summer Joseph took a trip to Washington D.C. after being nominated by Mr. Bernie Walker for the conference. Nominations are made based on student’s aspirations, according to Walker.

This program began in 1985 with a teacher who wanted to give her students a chance to attend the second Inauguration of Ronald Reagan.
