Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First

Cub Scout Pack 31 and Boy Scout Troop 100 are recruiting new adventurers.

Children in Kindergarten through 5th grade are invited to learn more about Cub Scouts at the local recruitment night, Tuesday, April 17 at 5:30 p.m. in Kimball’s City Park. In case of rain, the recruitment night will take place across the street at Trinity United Methodist Church in Kimball.

Scouts in Kindergarten enter as Lions, they progress to Tiger in first grade, then progressively to Wolf, Bear, first year Webelos and second year Webelos.

Following a scout’s fifth grade year, they move up to Boy Scouts.

BSA Troop 100 meets Thursday nights, also at Trinity United Methodist Church in Kimball. Youth ages 12-18 are invited to attend.

“We teach youth skills to make life-long moral and ethical decisions, as well as, leadership and traits to be efficient and effective members of society,” Assistant Scout Master Jon Shepard said.

Pack 31 and Troop 100 hope to see all interested adventurers at City Park on Tuesday, April 17 at 5:30 p.m.
