I hope all of you Mike Daum fans had the opportunity to watch him and his South Dakota State Team in action during their first round game with Ohio State in the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship Tournament that is on-going. The Jackrabbits lost to the Buckeyes 81-73, but it was a great game and close to the final seconds. It was tied at 43-43 at half-time and tied 70-70 in the closing minutes before Ohio State put it away on a couple of Jack’s fouls that came on 3 point shots that accounted for 7 points.

Mike played like the All Star that he is, leading all scorers with 27 points, including 5 treys, and had 6 rebounds. He has now completed 3 seasons of University ball and still has a season of eligibility remaining after red-shirting his freshman year. He has options of returning to SDSU, transferring to another major school, or perhaps accepting an NBA offer, if it comes. Going to be interesting to see how it all plays out in the next few weeks.
