Holly Jo Wittstruck

Holly Jo Wittstruck of rural Martell passed away unexpectedly at home on January 31, 2018 working on a suduko puzzle. She was born January 22, 1955 to George and Kathryn (Brothers) Killham at Kimball, Nebraska. Holly graduated from Dix High School and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. It was as a freshman at UNL that she met the love of her life, Marc Wittstruck. He was an ag major and she, fashion merchandising. They married during Christmas break of their junior year on January 3, 1976, a marriage that lasted 42 years and produced five children. Holly was a devoted spouse, mother, and grandmother and an active member of the Countryside Alliance Church in Princeton. She loved Jesus Christ and devoted her life to sharing the Gospel with family, friends and all who knew her. She taught Sunday School and served on numerous committees. She served for 12 years as President on the Rokeby School Board and as a board member of the Educational Service Unit #6. Holly worked hard at her home cleaning business and still managed to assist her husband with Crete High School FFA and FCA activities and varsity basketball duties. She never said no to anyone who wanted her help. She enjoyed being a "farm wife," even checking the beef cows at night during calving season. She was a huge motivator for her children's 4-H and FFA projects. She was also a member of the Crete High School FFA Alumni Chapter. She was active in her community, and especially enjoyed meetings of the Home Service Extension.

Holly is survived by her husband, Marc, her daughters and spouses: Lindsay (Patrick) Eisenmenger of Papillion, Stephanie (Kyle) Hemje of Crete, Mallory and boyfriend Clint Shoemaker of Beloit, Kansas, Alexa (Andrew) Holsing of Lincoln, sister, Kim (Chuck) Christiansen of Kimball, grandchildren: Easton and Barrett Eisenmenger, Titus, Marcus and Bailey Hemje and Augusta Holsing. Father and mother-in-law Dwayne and Joan Wittstruck of Denton; brothers and sisters-in-law Craig and Colleen Wittstruck of Martell and Laurie and Bill Askew of Malin, Oregon, and many extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Chad, and sister Georgia Childress.
