Coyotes struggle to find rhythm

While the Lady Coyotes are getting off to a great start to the season the boys from Potter-Dix are struggling to find some rythm and scoring.

With Creek Valley coming to town last Friday, the Coyotes were only able to put eight points on the board to the Storm’s 20 points in the first quarter. In the second period, the Coyotes were shut out with Creek Valley putting up another 20, going into the break down 40-8. Potter-Dix was able to put some more points up in the last two periods but wasn’t able to close the big gap the Storm made in the first half, leaving the Coyotes in the dust 64-23 for a final score.

The Coyotes made the trip to Paxton on Saturday to face off with the Tigers, but again wasn’t able to put many points on the board being outscored 47-3 in the first half and only tacking on 12 points in the second half, ending the game 83-15 for another hard loss for the Coyotes.

Potter-Dix played at Leyton Tuesday, no information was available at press.

Next up is Potter-Dix at home again tomorrow, Friday with Caliche out of Iliff, Colo., set to start at 4 p.m., with the girls game to follow.
